keeping up with the jones'
keeping up with the blog and general website maintenance is proving a lot harder than i thought it would. i, probably somewhat naively, thought if i treated it like a weekly task it would be easy to post some work and write a new blog every week. that way people who visit this site might have a reason to come back, but alas it is not happening as planned.
in my defence i have also started building a new bathroom at home which is taking up a lot of my spare time, as if i want to stay in a relationship i need to get it finished pretty quickly. there is also the small matter of my little sister's impending nuptials, which i have agreed to take the photographs for so i am trying to get in some practice with my flashy new camera that i could ill afford but easily justified to myself.
on top of all of that work is getting busier and i also have a number of favours for friends to complete. i also once thought my life would get a lot easier once i completed all of my training en route to becoming an architect... another naive thought it would seem.
i have just noticed there is no spell check in this thing so this is going to take longer than anticipated; a quick copy and paste into the wonderfully easy to use microsoft word has sorted all of those horrible spelling mistakes, namely naive… got it wrong that time too!
right, back to the reason for this post, it is basically an apology for not getting on top of the blog and website sooner, despite haranguing rory to get the thing finished. sorry. in the coming weeks, and hopefully before christmas, the bathroom will be nearing completion and i intend to use that as a work in progress to write about and post images highlighting the stupidity of thinking, as i can draw it i should be able to build it. the folks are still waiting for the carpet, so the images for that are still pending, but it does look good and it was a fantastic location for my little sister’s hen do last saturday. and once i resolve certain data recovery issues for my university work i will post some of that too.
better get back to work...
