cycling

i recently purchased a lovely new felt racing bike, from sydney street bikes in brighton, in order to enter a sponsored cycle ride from london to cannes.  the ride takes place every year, and i had wanted to be one of the number of riders braced for the march weather en-route to the south of france.  unfortunately the commitments of an adult life, extending the house, work, and money; that as a younger person i was certain would never effect me, ended my short lived dream of participating.  i thoroughly intend to enter the ride in 2011 but for the time being i will have to fill my spare time with working on the house, my favours for friends and continuing my good work at farmiloe architects.

so here i am with a new bicycle, a blog and no real training regime to speak of.  as my original intention was to write a few posts about things i got up on my bike, in the build up to the london to cannes, and then about the ride itself, i may have to partially rethink this section of the site.  the posts for the ride itself were more likely to occur after the event, as i think the last thing i would have wanted to do after riding 200 miles in one day would be to write about the double hundred i had just ridden.  i will continue with the original intention of posting blogs about the training rides and anything interesting that may happen whilst out on the trusty steed in the big wide world, if my previous cycles are anything to go by there my be very little to write about!  but i will persevere.
